Nothing to report
It was good to see Bob Fleming had recovered and was able to attend the meeting.
Dolly Gray is to return to hospital on Monday 8th March. Secretary will ask John Wood to visit.
The secretary asked the meeting to consider making a token gesture to John Wood by allocating some money to attend conference. The meeting agreed to give John £25.00
Chris Cesana was a guest at the meeting. Chris is making some crests (should be called badges) for the branch. The meeting agreed to give Chris £20.00 towards costs. Geoff will make the wooden back plates.
The meeting discussed proposals for conference. It was unanimously decided to vote against:-
Any Changes to the Association Logo and Blazer Badge. Also we are against raising the branch subscriptions in order to fund recruitment in the form of clothing etc. of serving submariners.
The branch would also ask the conference to consider looking at the Ton Class Association magazine in comparison to the In Depth. The Ton Class is funded by half the membership of the SA and is very professional produced.
Bob Fleming thanked the branch for their kind thoughts while he was in sick bay.
There being no other business, the Chairman shut the meeting with orders to GROUP-UP in the Bar.
SUNDAY 4th April 2010, 1130 in the Royal British Legion Club, Margate.
All ex and serving submariners are welcome.
